Air China Boeing 777-300er Business Class
China Airlines has received the first of six Boeing 777 Freighters, officially becoming the 20 th operator of the world’s largest and longest range twin-aisle freighter. The 777 Freighter joins the airline amid growing demand for dedicated freighters as operators grapple with the impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The new airplane is one of 19 777-300ERs Air China is adding to its long-haul fleet to strengthen the airline's international competitiveness. Earlier this year, Air China also became the first Chinese carrier.

Each of the airline’s 10 777-300ERs are configured to seat 358 passengers in a three-class layout highlighted by the new ‘Family Couch’ seats in economy class. China Airlines is the only airline in North Asia to feature the Family Couch seats, where three economy seats convert into a flat surface to provide passengers with added rest.
- Air China have 13 Boeing 777-300ERs of its own, and orders for 7 more to follow when the Boeing 747-400s are phased out. The normal variant of the Air China Boeing 777-300ER has 8 in First Class, but 42 in business class, 63 in Premium Economy, and 263 in economy down the back, seating a grand total of 313, which is pretty light for the largest 777 variant.
- Air China Boeing 777-300ER (77W) flies on international routes from Beijing to Frankfurt, Los Angeles, and Paris as well as domestic routes from Beijing to Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Chengdu. The 777W will be replacing the Boeing 740-400 on routes to the US. The Boeing 777-300ER is the most frequently operated long-haul aircraft from Air China.
